Spectrolab Pty Ltd began operations in July 2003 as a two person operation at Mt Gibson's Tallering Peak minesite.

As the mine grew so did Spectrolab, since then we have added four people to the team and in 2006 started an additional lab in Geraldton to cater for the Mid-West's growing iron ore industry.

Spectrolab's Geraldton laboratory has 27 employees, analyses more than 12,000 samples per month and has the capacity to analyse additional samples for new and existing customers.

Nigel Dunn, a qualified Chemist is the Director of Spectrolab Pty Ltd and also has a hands on role in the day to day operations. Nigel has attained a Post-Graduate Diploma of Metallurgy and has more than 10 years of analysis experience.

The Laboratory Technicians at Spectrolab are fully trained in laboratory techniques relating to iron ore analysis.
